SHIRTS
NECK: circumference of the
neck.
SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of the tape at the bottom of the
collar at the center of the back and mark distance around the
elbow to the bottom of the wrist with arm slightly bent.
CONVERSION: See charts at right.
PANTS
WAIST: Taken at the top
of the hipbone over shirt (not over pants). Tape should only be
held snug, do not hold tape tight.
INSEAM: Taken from the base of the crotch to the top of the
shoe or boot. For jeans, add one inch.
COVERALLS
CHEST SIZE: Taken at
fullest part of the chest, keep tape under arms and around
shoulder blades. ( Take over clothing, preferably over garments
worn with coveralls.)
LENGTH: We suggest using your inseam measurement for pants, but
subtracting1 to 2 inches to accommodate Dickies lower crotch
construction.
JACKETS
CHEST SIZE: Taken at
full point of the chest, keep tape up under arms and around
shoulder blades. (Take over clothing, preferably over garments
worn with jacket.)
SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of the tape at the bottom of the
collar at the center of the back and mark the distance around the
elbow to the outer edge of the wrist.
WOMEN
CHEST: Take at the fullest point of the bust and across
shoulder blades. Hold tape level and firmly but not tight.
HIP: Take with heels together
around the fullest point.

The Proper Size Glove
Measure around your knuckles with
your hand flat (don’t include thumb). The number of inches
equals the glove size.
